Oh honey....it was blazing! The heat was simply overwhelming. However, I had no worries for my attire for the day and night ...because this was thigh day! Lol!!! For starters, I made the shorts using Vogue's 1708 pattern (view A) using some mustard and white knit from my stash. This is why scrap busting is amazing! I literally had just enough to make a quick pair of shorts. For my top, I made the most comfortable tie front double gauze using Simplicity's 8653. I snagged the double gauze from www.moodfabrics.com. I was dying for a tie front top that could be dressed up or down, and that pattern was right on time! This top was one of the the reasons that my sewing machine had to take flight with me. It was too hot for excessive clothing, so you may be introduced to a thigh dimple or two :-).

Then, night fell. A girl needed a cocktail! So, I threw on my denim shorts and sparkly 'Shark Bite Top' by Ellie & Mac. Last year, internet sensation Khadeen Ellis rocked a fabulous black t-shirt that doubled as a dress. The sides of the shirt had asymmetrical flowly black fabric that made me gaze. I was smitten! When I ran across the shark bite pattern from Ellie & Mac, I knew I could defnitely make my own version. Using 2 yards of silver sequin from Walmart and a yard of white shirting from www.fabric.com, I whipped together this fun little number. I got tons of compliments!!! Til day 4... ~SSS

Thank you, ladies!!!
Love love love ALLLLLL of your looks Stacie! So proud of you! Keep doing big things!! ❤️❤️❤️
The silver and denim is bomb. I can probably do the denim shorts.
This look is cute! My thighs would chafe something terrible if I wore shorts shorter than bermudas.🤣
