It’s the warmer colors for me. Although this is technically a spring pattern, I NEEDED to have this dress in a fun fabric with bold lips. I saw no other option. Nothing else would do. I mean nothing! After stumbling across the perfect fabric, I used Simplicity’s 8875 pattern to create this look overnight.

The feel of the this silky cotton against my skin was nothing short of amazing. It was a random find at a really great deal. As far as the construction, I would recommend lengthening the bodice if you have a long torso and full bust such as myself. Beyond that, I thought this was an effortless make. This would be great for anyone wanting to try their first pattern.

I finished by adding fabric covered buttons to the arm pleats and down the center of the dress. Who doesn’t love fabric covered buttons.....I mean really?

The temperatures aren't as cool as I thought, but I see a cute jean jacket paired with this baby in the near future. Before I go, you all know that I had to twirl in this dress simply because there's a flounce. This dress gave me such ATTITUDE!
